A couple of years ago while running a group class at a local gym in Michigan, a long- haired high school kid asked me this somewhat innocent question: “Lawrence, who would win in an actual fight--- a boxer or a UFC fighter?”. In my mind I was like, “duh, they're two different sports how can you compare?”. But I still gave him a straight answer. I told him that it depends on what sport they will
fight in. A boxer will probably kick the MMA fighter's a** in a boxing match, the MMA fighter will probably kick the boxer's a** in an MMA fight.
However, in the context of strength and conditioning, THERE ARE A LOT OF SIMILARITIES when it comes to boxing and MMA. And truthfully, MMA is a very fast growing sport. MMA fighters have different skill sets and their body types are different from boxers.
I am a fight fan---- obviously I'm more inclined towards boxing but Mixed Martial Arts is a totally different sport. I like it as well. And in terms of strength and conditioning, I ABSOLUTELY like to apply some workouts from the MMA world!
So who is your favorite MMA Fighter? Georges St. Pierre? Anderson Silva? BJ Penn? Hey, PROPER STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING IS KEY to these athletes' SUCCESS!
Won't you want to learn about it? Won't you want to get ahead of your game? OR if you box, will it be cool to learn different techniques you can apply to your boxing and fitness regimen?
The ULTIMATE MMA STRENGTH and CONDITIONING E-BOOK IS VERY COMPREHENSIVE. YOU WILL DISCOVER THAT A LOT OF THINGS ARE BEHIND THE BODIES AND SKILL SETS OF THESE MMA FIGHTERS!
